Busy, busy, busy, busy, busy.

I had a nice day today, lots of cathartic sorting and tidying and getting rid of stuff. The girls are on form, number one preparing for her Nursery-Rhyme-in-Costume recital on Friday and number two tumble-totting around the place. They're in the bath now, with Daddy. Well, not WITH daddy. So a few moments peace....... aaaahhhhhh.

As I predicted the fish'n'chips did have disastrous results on my bid for body shrinkage - I put on four stone.

Well, I can't sit here chatting to you, I've got bottoms to wash.

I am feeling under par today with a sore throat. The if-I-wasn't-a-mummy-I'd-take-a-day-off-and-stay-in-bed kind of under par. But no luck there, so instead I am trying to design number two's party invitation and failing miserably in my under par condition. It's not helped by listening to 'stenders out of one ear. No matter, there's always tomorrow. I also have to design a nursery rhyme character costume for number one but I don't expect to have much inspiration with that tonight either.

It was toddler ballet again today. Much the same as last week really, followed by a scrumptious bowl of soup in Gluttons (recommended if you're ever in Saffron Walden and fancying a bowl of soup).

I have lost 5lb in the first two weeks of my campaign to get back to pre-baby svelteness, which is encouraging, but I fear a setback after this evening's fish'n'chips. Oops.

No organic box this week, which means no cabbage. Hurrah!!!

It's gone very quiet here. All of a sudden. This will be because small mes are happily swaddled in non-allergenic hollowfibre and euclid has gone out. Delightful.

Today was 'toddler ballet' day in Saffron Walden, one of my favourite places and in which I intend to live, one day.

Toddler number two goes first and does the version that requires my help - pointing my good, and naughty toes, bending my knees and prancing (yes really prancing) up and down the room to 'horsey-horsey' although thankfully I am excused the otherwise compulsory wearing of ankle bells. Then it's the turn of toddler number one, who does it beautifully without me while I get to pootle round my lovely little town and buy unnecessary Waldenesque patchwork quilts. Oops.

This week's organic box had (uurrrgghhh) parsnips - hate 'em - and TOO MUCH CABBAGE!!!
